Job Summary
The Agent's accountability includes performing and coordinating a variety of insurance operation activities that: 1) serve agency clients' best interests and 2) contribute to the growth and profitability of the organization. Primary duties include providing support to the Market Manager with administrative assignments and representing the agency with superior customer service standards.
Duties And Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To)
- Represent the agency in the sale of all insurance products and services
- Process all policy endorsements
- Maintain agency billing and deposits
- Aid customers with necessary paperwork and answer and resolve any questions regarding insurance products and services
- Identify prospects, market and sell multiple insurance products (crop, home, life, auto, mortgage, etc.)
- Write and secure new policies
- Maintain and update existing insurance programs to provide favorable coverage, cost terms, and claim settlements for a variety of types of insurance
- Call clients to review, renew, or sell additional coverage if needed and get referral business
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of customer service / sales experience
- Office products, Teams, customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Property & Casualty insurance license prior to hire date with the expectation that the Life & Health licenses will be obtained within three months of hire
Office Environment
- Requires face-to-face interaction and coordination of work with other employees and departments
- In-person interaction
- Working at a computer and utilizing a telephone
- Occasionally lifting up to 50lbs
- May involve travel for trainings or meetings
Schedule
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Pay
- Salary Range: $45,000 annual base + commission and bonus opportunity
