Responsibilities
- Apply insulation materials to pipes, tanks, ducts, and other industrial equipment to control temperature and energy efficiency.
- Measure and cut insulation materials to the required size and shape, ensuring a proper fit around obstructions.
- Review blueprints and specifications to determine insulation requirements and select appropriate materials.
- Perform regular maintenance checks and repairs on insulation systems, including the removal of old or damaged insulation.
- Follow safety standards and procedures while performing insulation tasks, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in installation or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of various insulation materials and their properties, as well as the ability to operate insulation-cutting tools and power tools.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks such as bending and lifting.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with supervisors and other team members.
- Comfortable climbing and working at elevations above 25 ft.

Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures. Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment. Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels. Limited working surfaces. Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors. Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
