Insulator (All Levels)

Main Responsibilities

• Apply cryogenic/non-cryogenic insulation to piping, fittings, and equipment
• Apply sheet metal or flexible jacketing to the insulation system fitted to manufactured items (fittings, equipment, etc.)
• Maintain tools and equipment in compliance with safety standards
• Complete accurate documentation and adhere to quality and safety policies and procedures
• Interpret and correctly read insulation fabrication drawings and specifications
• Demonstrate the capability of measuring piping, fittings and equipment for fabrication purposes
• Must be willing to assist other crafts as required

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience working across large scale mining operations and facilities is advantageous
• Proven experience working as a Insulator at an Entry, Intermediate or Advanced Journeyperson level
• NCCER Certification
• Hold a current and valid driver’s license
• Undergo pre employment physical exam, drug & alcohol screening

Physical Demands

• Work is performed in an operational mining facility with constant exposure to outdoor conditions and changing weather
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights as required by the job
• Requires physical labor, including bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and operating heavy machinery and tools
• PPE must be worn at all times in accordance with safety standards
• Must meet all physical fitness requirements
