Insulation Project Director Construction

Compensation: $70K-$150K Base + Bonus (DOE)

About the Role

We are looking for someone who can receive mechanical plans and specs and know exactly what is required, including materials, thickness needed, how to estimate it, and what to watch for in the field. You will oversee industrial insulation projects from estimating handoff through final closeout, managing budgets, schedules, field crews, and customer relationships while ensuring maximum safety and quality.

This role involves running or helping build an insulation division, hiring and managing crews and foremen.

Responsibilities

• Oversee industrial insulation projects from estimating handoff through final closeout.
• Manage budgets, schedules, field crews, and customer relationships.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Read and interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
• Estimate materials and labor required for projects.
• Hire and manage crews and foremen.

Requirements

• 7+ years in industrial construction (Insulation or Mechanical preferred).
• Strong commercial/industrial insulation background.
• Experience managing crews, foremen, and multiple projects.
• Expertise in insulation materials, applications, and industry standards.
• Proficient at reading blueprints and managing multiple projects.
• Excellent customer communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Roles: PMs, Superintendents, or General Foremen from Insulation, Mechanical, or Industrial Services.
• Sectors: Food processing, ethanol, data centers, power generation, oil & gas, or cold storage.
• Systems: Process piping, boilers, tanks, vessels, or thermal insulation.
