About the role
Jacobs is seeking a CAD/Drafting Intern to support our Instruments & Controls (I&C) design team in our Corvallis, Oregon office. This role is specifically designed for students currently enrolled in a CAD, Drafting, or Design Technology program who are looking to gain hands-on drafting experience while completing their education. This is a CAD-focused role, not an engineering position. You will support designers and engineers by producing 2D drawings and documentation, learning industry CAD tools, and working on real-world projects in a professional design environment. This internship is intended to provide practical experience for CAD students.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in secondary education courses and working towards a degree in CAD
- CAD application understanding preferred in MicroStation and AutoCAD (ACAD) but will provide on-the-job training
- Must be willing to work in the Corvallis office a minimum of 16-20 hours a week on average while finishing school (more hours welcome; some hybrid work from home available)
- Must live within commutable distance from the Corvallis office
- Strong time management skills and experience
- Reliable, focused, and detail-oriented
- Ability to excel under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor
- Focused and concise verbal and written communication

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $47,300.00 to $58,000.00; pay will be hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
