About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to work on upgrading and modernizing nuclear power plants with the latest control technologies. You will lead and support small and large controls projects, focusing on technical execution and effective project management. These projects require coordination with mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines to bring the project to completion.

Your work will include investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving a wide variety of controls engineering issues, such as:

  • Developing digital systems design (PLC, DCS, HSI, networked computer systems).
  • Preparing control system functional and implementation requirements and procurement specifications for nuclear plant control systems.
  • Interfacing with clients to ensure proper project execution and satisfaction.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports, calculations, and studies to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Managing resources, resource loading, and developing estimates for task completion and budget development.
  • Supporting the development of proposals.
  • Preparing and reviewing diagrams and drawings for new and upgraded controls solutions.
  • Evaluating vendor bids from a technical perspective.
  • Interfacing with vendors for document reviews, ensuring equipment compliance with specifications, and witnessing FAT performance on behalf of the client.
  • Supporting project implementation at the client’s facilities.

Requirements

  • A BS degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 10 or more years of experience in I&C Design Engineering, with at least 5 years at a nuclear facility.
  • PE license is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both speech and written formats.
  • Technical knowledge of available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems for systems design.
  • Experience serving as the firm's client liaison in a support or lead engineering role.
  • Experience in reviewing design documentation.

Pay

Compensation range: $145,310.00 - $222,001.00. The total compensation package includes a base salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Individuals may also be eligible to participate in our yearly discretionary bonus.
