Instrument & Electrical Technician
About the role
The Multi-Craft I&E Technicians at AdvanSix are responsible for installing, calibrating, configuring, programming, modifying, diagnosing, and repairing electronic, computerized, and electro-mechanical equipment. They also perform preventative and corrective maintenance on distributed control systems (DCS), continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS), and all associated equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, replace, and calibrate control system equipment and support systems, including transmitters, pneumatic valves and valve actuators, regulators, recorders, analyzers, and other sensors.
- Install, analyze, maintain, and repair control equipment that includes Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and computers.
- Perform and document maintenance calibrations, installation, fault diagnosis, repair of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems.
- Install and maintain safety systems including emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, uninterruptible power systems, battery systems, and utility communications systems.
- Actively participate in plant safety programs and maintain knowledge and understanding of Process Safety Management, OSHA requirements, and API standards.
- Work safely in an industrial environment with hazardous materials and chemicals.
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation and electrical systems in an industrial/manufacturing and/or chemical plant industry.
- Valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $44.36. The pay range, incentives and benefits listed above are general guidelines only and not a guarantee of total compensation or benefits. The final offer will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to, the responsibilities of the job, experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as the job location, applicability of a collective bargaining agreement, length of service, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
