PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop instrument indexes, datasheets, I/O lists, loop diagrams, and installation details
  • Size and specify field instruments, control valves, and safety instrumented systems
  • Support DCS/PLC/SIS design, configuration reviews, and FAT/SAT activities
  • Participate in HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL classification/verification studies
  • Review vendor documents and coordinate with electrical and process disciplines (Senior level)
  • Lead I&C scope on projects, mentor junior engineers, and manage vendor interfaces

HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
  • Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
  • Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
  • Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Instrumentation Engineering (PE a plus)
  • 4–8 years (mid-level) or 8+ years (senior) of I&C experience in industrial facilities
  • Knowledge of ISA standards, IEC 61511, and hazardous area requirements
  • Experience with DCS/PLC platforms (DeltaV, Honeywell, Allen-Bradley, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of P&IDs, control narratives, and instrument selection
