Instructor / System Trainer
About the Role
We are searching for unique individuals who are self-directed, customer service-driven professionals with an interest in combining their nondestructive testing and consulting experience to join our elite team of instructors/trainers. This position requires extensive classroom contact, including the development, revision, and teaching of a range of technical and non-technical topics. You will train employees on company systems, software, and processes, develop and deliver training materials, conduct hands-on sessions, support users with system questions, and ensure employees are confident and proficient in using business applications.
Responsibilities
- Consult with clients in the development of NDT procedures and written practices.
- Develop and administer examinations for certification, grading, and reporting of results.
- Manage overall classroom activities and instruction.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on company systems, software, and processes.
- Create training materials, user guides, and job aids.
- Conduct hands-on demonstrations and workshops for new and existing employees.
- Assess employee understanding and provide additional coaching when needed.
- Support users with system-related questions and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate system training schedules.
- Gather user feedback and recommend improvements to training programs.
- Assist with onboarding and system implementation activities.
- Ensure employees follow system procedures and best practices.
Requirements
- Level III certification in at least one of the following NDT methodologies: RT, MT, PT, UT, VT, or Eddy Current, with hands-on experience as a Level II.
- Experience with qualification and certification standards such as NAS 410 and SNT-TC-1A, as well as industry codes and inspection specifications like ASME and API (510/570/653).
- Proficient with computer applications including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Prior involvement in the development of classroom curriculum and outlines is desirable; experience as an instructor is a plus.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
