About the role

Built by Me is a STEM enrichment company offering interactive, collaborative, hands-on, project-based classes and workshops to children in grades 1–8. Our mission is to help children grow into creators by teaching them to use technology to explore, create, and learn new skills while having fun.

We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic instructors with a passion for STEM and prior experience working with kids. This part-time role is ideal for gaining practical experience in an entrepreneurial, innovative, and fun environment.

Responsibilities

• Create an inclusive and safe environment for students, encouraging them to speak and write in their authentic voice
• Work with small groups of children (no more than 10 per class)
• Teach interactive, hands-on STEM classes and workshops focused on robotics, coding, math, design, communications, video, music, and art

Qualifications

• Experience working with kids
• Interest in robotics, coding, math, design, communications, video, music, and/or art
• High emotional intelligence, creativity, and a strong design sensibility
• Energetic, dependable, friendly, and flexible personality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of technology
• Availability on weekdays (2–7 pm) and/or Saturdays (9 am–12 pm)

Driver’s License and reliable transportation is a plus (mileage/public transportation will be reimbursed).
