Responsibilities

  • Teaches assigned courses and prepares instructional materials, including lectures, presentations, labs, and clinical activities.
  • Uses assessments to evaluate student achievement of course and program outcomes.
  • Provides timely feedback to support student success.
  • Prepares and submits required documentation such as syllabi, attendance, and final grades.
  • Shares information with students about College services and resources.
  • Pursues professional development to remain current in the field.
  • Participates in committees, serves as an advisor, and mentors faculty as needed.
  • Affords assistance in course development and program improvement.

Requirements

  • Holds a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Has an active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
  • Has 5 years of clinical experience as an RRT.
  • Is eligible for or holds a Tennessee RRT license.

Qualifications

  • Holds a Master’s Degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
  • Understands CoARC accreditation standards (preferred).
  • Holds additional credentials (e.g., ACCS, RPFT/CPFT, NPS, AC-E) (preferred).

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and teaching methodologies.
  • Curriculum development and instructional design.

  • College operations and administrative procedures.
  • Assessment methods and data-informed decision making.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • A typical workweek includes 37.5 hours, with at least 30 hours on campus.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Maintains punctuality and professionalism.

Salary Range

$55,269 - $67,697
