About the role
The instructor works under the supervision of the Program Director and is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating the philosophy and objectives of their program. The instructor designs, implements, teaches, evaluates, and revises the program's curriculum and related educational materials as assigned for the delivery of both residential and distance education courses.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the development and evaluation of student admission, progression, retention, graduation and related program and college policies.
- Actively engages in scholarly pursuits to enhance metaprofessional skills and support learning in the areas of educational theory, instructional design and delivery, assessment, and systematic evaluation relative to both residential and distance education methods.
- Maintain professional competence in their specific discipline through such activities as practice, continuing education programs, conferences, workshops, seminars, academic courses, research projects, and professional writing.
- Participates in community and institutional service activities which contribute to the mission of Riverside Health and RCHS.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in the Allied Health Profession of hire, or a related field (Required)
- Program Graduate in the Allied Health Profession of hire (Required)
- 3-4 years recent (within last 5 years) clinical experience or teaching in the specified field or a combination of the two prior to hire date (Required)
- Formal didactic teaching experience (Preferred)
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
- Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing (Required)
