Instructor Pool- RACE, GENDER, AND SEXUALITY STUDIES
Position Profile
The College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities (CASSH) at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse is seeking to establish an instructor pool for Race, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Positions are available for undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
Job Duties
- Prepare and hold classes (face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online)
- Evaluate student work and assess student outcomes
- Provide regular and substantive feedback on student work
- Maintain appropriate records
- Hold office hours
- May advise students and/or provide other service to the department
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department, or significant progress toward a doctorate degree
- In rare circumstances, post-baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a combination of a baccalaureate and experience can be established as appropriate qualifications for the teaching position
- Specific certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required depending on the program
Key Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses
- Assess student performance
- Develop instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
- Serve as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
