About the role
The Purpose Instructor of English will manage and organize course materials effectively, work with diverse stakeholders, and communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in rhetoric and composition.
- Conduct research in the field of English studies.
- Work with underprepared and diverse student populations.
Qualifications
- Masters in English.
- Five years' experience in teaching rhetoric and composition.
- Specialization in teaching rhetoric and composition.
- Record of an active research agenda preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting equitable literacy practices and creating inclusive, accessible learning environments for diverse populations.
Physical Demands
- Light sedentary office work.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing/walking.
