Instructor of Business Communication
Position Summary
Austin Peay State University’s College of Business, in pursuit of AACSB accreditation, invites applicants for an Instructor of Business Communication with teaching interests in business communication to begin in August 2024. This is a three-year renewable contract.
About the Role
The successful candidate will teach courses in business communication within the College of Business at Austin Peay State University. Responsibilities include developing and delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and engaging in professional development activities.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in business communication
- Develop and maintain course materials and syllabi
- Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback
- Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best practices in business communication
Requirements
- PhD in Business Communication or related field
- Experience teaching business communication at the college level
- Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and student success
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Experience with technology integration in the classroom

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
