About the Role
This is a full-time, non-tenure clinical faculty position as a Clinical Instructor in the Division of Gastroenterology, reporting to the Chief of the Division.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced therapeutic endoscopy procedures (80% of time), including training under an advanced therapeutic endoscopist for ERCP and EUS, as well as evaluation and management of patients.
- Provide clinical care (20% of time) by supervising GI fellows performing upper endoscopies and colonoscopies one day per week, including billing for these services.
- Supervise fellows in outpatient procedures at the Medical Campus or Lennar Foundation Medical Center.
- Participate in scholarly activities as time permits.
Qualifications
- MD degree.
- Completion of ACGME-accredited U.S. internal medicine internship and residency, or board certification in Internal Medicine.
- Completion of a 3-year gastroenterology fellowship.
- Board certification (or eligibility) in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
- Valid, unrestricted Florida medical license or eligibility to apply (must obtain prior to credentialing).
Skills
- Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements.
- Excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe, high-quality patient care and meet institutional standards.
- Current ACLS and BLS certification.
- Valid DEA licensure.
