About the Role

The Clinical Instructor in the Division of Gastroenterology will primarily focus on Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Procedures, dedicating approximately 80% of their time to training under an advanced therapeutic endoscopist performing ERCP and EUS, as well as evaluating and managing those patients. The incumbent will also provide clinical care, supervising fellows performing upper endoscopies and colonoscopies one day per week (approximately 20% of their time).

Responsibilities

• Train under an advanced therapeutic endoscopist performing ERCP and EUS, including evaluation and management of patients (80% of time).
• Supervise GI fellows in outpatient procedures at the Medical Campus or Lennar Foundation Medical Center, including billing for these services.
• Participate in scholarly activities as time permits.

Requirements

• MD Degree.
• Completion of ACGME-accredited U.S. internal medicine internship and residency, or board certification in Internal Medicine.
• Completion of a 3-year gastroenterology fellowship.
• Board certification (or eligibility) in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
• Valid, unrestricted Florida Medical License (or eligibility to apply; must obtain prior to credentialing).
• Valid DEA licensure.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification.

• Commitment to maintaining CME requirements for institutional and state licensing.
