Instructor-Limited Term, Part-Time - College of Business

Augusta University’s Hull College of Business seeks a part-time, Limited-Term Instructor to begin as soon as possible. This non-tenure-track appointment is contingent upon annual funding and programmatic needs.

About the role

The faculty member will provide high-quality undergraduate instruction, support student learning, and contribute to the academic mission of the college. The position is academic-year based (typically August through May) with a work commitment of 0.5–0.74 FTE, making it partially benefits-eligible.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in the assigned discipline.
• Deliver effective, student-centered instruction in face-to-face, hybrid, or online formats.
• Maintain course materials, assessments, and learning outcomes consistent with departmental standards.
• Provide academic support to students through office hours, advising, and mentoring.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum discussions, and limited service activities.
• Support accreditation, assessment, and instructional quality initiatives.

Requirements

• MBA or equivalent terminal degree in the discipline.
• Familiarity with Hull College of Business processes and procedures.
• Experience in higher education teaching.
• Evidence of ability as a teacher and activity as a scholar.
• Successful experience (waived for those entering the academic profession).
• Desirable personal qualities assessed through interview, biographical data, and recommendations.

Pay

Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements, subject to availability of funds. Rank and salary are determined at hire based on experience, credentials, specialty, training, internal equity, and market data.
