Instructor of Music -Limited Term, Part Time

Augusta University’s Department of Music seeks a part-time Instructor of Music to teach 1–3 undergraduate music courses per semester, both in-person and online, beginning Fall 2026. This is a non-tenure-track, academic-year appointment (August–May) with a work commitment of 0.5–0.74 FTE, making the position partially benefits-eligible.

Responsibilities

• Teach 1–3 music courses each semester.
• Deliver instruction in both in-person and online formats.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• Evidence of teaching ability.
• Scholarly activity and competence in all assigned duties.
• Desirable personal qualities assessed through interview, biographical data, and recommendations.

Pay

Salary is determined at the time of hire based on experience, education, credentials, specialty, training, internal equity, and market data, and is subject to availability of funds.
