    The Department of History, Anthropology, and Philosophy at Augusta University seeks an Instructor-Limited Term position in Biological Anthropology, starting in August 2026.

  • Responsibilities

    - Teach 12 hours per term. Courses include Introduction to Biological Anthropology and Biological Anthropology Laboratory, and upper-division classes as assigned.

    - Student mentoring, grading, and compliance with university policies.

    - Create, update, and submit course syllabi.

    - Promote student success through engagement and activities.

    - Attend departmental and other required meetings.

  • Required Qualifications

    M.A. in Anthropology or ABD status.

    Experience as a teaching assistant or in teaching biological anthropology at the college level.

  • Preferred Qualifications

    Ph.D. in Anthropology.

    Experience teaching biological anthropology at the college level.

    Demonstrated success teaching a wide range of student populations.

  • Shift/Salary/Benefits

    This is an academic year position working August through May. Full-time equivalent (FTE) is 1.0. Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements.
