Job Summary

The School of Humanities and Fine Arts at Talladega College seeks a qualified, experienced, student-centered, and collegial full-time Instructor, Lecturer, or Assistant Professor of Spanish to teach in the English Department, beginning August 2026. The specific rank aligns with experience and expertise. The department houses English and Spanish in the School of Humanities and Fine Arts.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Spanish courses in traditional (in-person), blended, and online formats
  • Advise students academically
  • Serve on committees
  • Maintain an active research agenda

Minimum Qualifications

  • A master’s degree with at least eighteen (18) graduate-level semester hours in Spanish from an accredited institution (Instructor/Lecturer rank)
  • Evidence of successful college teaching experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • A terminal degree in the teaching discipline from an accredited institution (Assistant Professor rank)
