Part-time faculty position located at the Manufacturing Technology Center. Reports to the Director of Advanced Manufacturing.

About the Role

Provides instructional training related to the Integrated Systems Engineering Technology (ISET) program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction and prepare lesson plans based on established curriculum.
  • Deliver training related to the ISET program.
  • Promote students’ development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, computation, problem solving, and decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related Engineering discipline. Significant related experience may substitute for education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the related field or a Journeyman Card/License in the related field.
  • Advanced communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent).
  • Ability to assess and grade the progress of students.
  • Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of the community.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or other related engineering discipline.
  • Five to fifteen years of experience in an appropriate area depending on educational level.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in a normal, professional office or technical lab environment.
  • Work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
  • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform duties, with repetitive motions using hands/fingers (e.g., computer mouse and keyboard).
  • May involve some walking, standing, bending, and carrying light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, or books.
  • Work may require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite.

Pay

$47.35 per hour.

Schedule

  • Work shift can be 1st or 2nd shift.
  • Hours vary: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM or 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
  • Weekends (Saturday and Sunday): 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
