Job Description
Module 3: Group Exercising
Leads dynamic group fitness classes with a focus on HIIT, circuit training, boot camp, step aerobics, line dance aerobics, and Pilates promoting cardiovascular health, coordination, and community connection.
Designs high-energy workouts tailored to a range of fitness levels, delivered both in-person and virtually.
Prioritizes safe and effective instruction by emphasizing proper technique, appropriate pacing, and ongoing participant motivation.
Essential Functions
- Provides instruction to students and community members.
- Develops and presents the department with a curriculum that provides students with a full experience and is structured to accommodate all fitness levels.
- Sets up in preparation for and cleans up after each class.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Certifications/licenses, as applicable by discipline
- Required CPR/first aid certifications
- Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Possess basic knowledge of fundamental subject area concepts, practices, and procedures with the ability to apply in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus.
- Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to read, understand, and enforce safety procedures.
- Able to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of the class.
- Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Possess sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of the community.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in related field
- Demonstrated experience with community-based instruction
- Professional presentation skills
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- The work may be performed in a normal, professional office environment.
- The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated.
- Work may be partially performed in an environment with sufficient noise that may cause an employee to shout in order to be heard above the noise level.
- Work may be partially performed in and/or around a swimming pool requiring the employee to be a proficient swimmer.
Compensation
$30.00/hour
Special Note
This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $30.00/ hour. If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1
