About the Role
As an Auto Instructor, you'll shape the minds and skills of students, guiding them toward careers in the automotive industry. This role emphasizes hands-on learning and interactive teaching to inspire the next generation of technicians. No prior teaching experience is required—training will be provided if you have the drive, patience, and technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment to foster students' passion for auto mechanics.
- Provide hands-on training and practical demonstrations in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing small engines.
- Collaborate with the education team to enhance existing courses and develop new ones aligned with industry trends.
- Mentor students on individual projects, encouraging critical thinking and innovative solutions.
- Instill safety procedures and best practices to ensure a secure working environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5 years of practical work experience in the field.
- ASE certifications are highly valued; if not current, UTI will cover the cost to obtain them.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students and staff.
- Patience and empathy, recognizing that students learn at their own pace.
