About the role

The Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California invites applicants for a full-time clinical faculty position in an acute rehabilitation unit, with floating to acute care and outpatient occupational therapy as needed. The successful candidate will work with the Division’s faculty members to develop and implement occupational therapy services and direct patient care in coordination with the interdisciplinary team and in compliance with organizational goals and appropriate regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Division’s faculty members to develop and implement occupational therapy services and direct patient care in coordination with the interdisciplinary team and in compliance with organizational goals and appropriate regulatory agencies.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to occupational therapy students.
• Participate in the development and implementation of educational programs for occupational therapy students.
• Contribute to research activities related to occupational therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Excellent clinical ability (advanced practice in neurological rehabilitation, critical care, general acute care, and/or cardiopulmonary services preferred).
• Experience working in adult physical rehabilitation.
• Current license to practice occupational therapy in California.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current California Occupational Therapy License.
• Experience in acute rehabilitation settings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in using occupational therapy assessment tools and techniques.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $90,000.
