Instructor, Advanced Manufacturing Robotics and Industrial Controls Specialist

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high-quality instruction and facilitate student learning.
• Develop course syllabi and instructional plans, organizing daily classes using creative and innovative techniques.
• Maintain accurate student records and an instructional environment with an emphasis on safety and equipment security.
• Provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive student advisement.
• Collaborate with the Office of Student Success to support student retention and provide information on tutoring and other programs.
• Participate in recruitment events and assist in department/program planning for recruitment.
• Demonstrate a willingness to be of service and exhibit courteous behavior toward students, coworkers, and the public.
• Maintain flexibility, including availability for evening, weekend, or summer assignments as needed.
• Integrate technology effectively to enrich educational experiences.
• Act as an ambassador for TSTC programs, demonstrating core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity.

• Installation and configuration of variable frequency drives

• Advanced PLC programming, interfacing, and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a closely related field and demonstrated qualifications in the technology’s teaching discipline.
• Verifiable professional experience may be accepted in lieu of other requirements as approved by the Vice Chancellor overseeing academic programs.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a closely related teaching discipline.
