Essential Duties
- Assist with researching, recommending, and implementing new instructional technologies, including coordinating, conducting and evaluating pilots of technologies, developing assessment and evaluation instruments, and preparing release plans for new tools and features.
- Works collaboratively with faculty and staff to provide training, support, and guidance on the use of the learning management system, other learning technologies, and application of the university's instructional policies and standards through one-on-one consultations, training sessions and the creation of multimedia educational resources, custom documentation and learning objects.
- Ensure accessibility of technology-based instructional materials.
- Support the identification, measurement, and maintenance of key performance indicators for learning technology solutions and their effectiveness.
- Provide technical support and management of related instructional technologies.
- Cooky with vendors and/or the Technology Services department to maintain architectural design or software system, optimal efficiency of system implementation, identification of issues, patches, fixes, and resolution of issues.
- Maintain security and confidentiality of Lakeland University information and data.
- Document internal processes, policies, and procedures as required.
- Cooky with department meetings, campus committees, professional workshops and conferences.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, education, computer science or related field. Master's preferred.
- Experience teaching and/or training, preferably in an academic environment.
- Customer service or technical administration experience preferably providing LMS or other instructional technology support in an academic environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in service.
- Effective oral, written, interpersonal and collaborative communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into usable, easy-to-follow instructions.
- Knowledge and experience with Windows and Mac operating systems, multiple browsers, Google and Microsoft applications and skills.
- Project/program management experience.
- Familiarity with productivity software applications and web production skills including proficiency in authoring software (e.g., Camtasia, Canva, etc.).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk;
- No or very limited physical effort required;
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment;
