About the role
The School of Nursing at San Diego State University is seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Instructional Support Technician to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support the launch and ongoing operations of the new nursing program at the SDSU-Chula Vista satellite location.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot simulation equipment and lab technologies while supporting effective, hands-on learning experiences.
- Cook up and oversee daily lab and simulation operations to ensure safe, secure, and efficient environments.
- Coordinate, schedule, and manage procurement and vendor relationships to align with program needs and budget.
- Oversee inventory systems, equipment tracking, and supply levels to ensure continuous lab readiness.
- Coordinate logistics such as receiving, shipping, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance for lab operations.
- Provide administrative, reporting, and project support to sustain program operations and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Two years of experience providing instructional or healthcare support services in an academic or healthcare environment.
- Proficiency using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience ordering, maintaining and/or managing medical and healthcare-related supplies and equipment.
- Familiarity with standard healthcare supplies and equipment.
- Experience as a licensed medical assistant, CNA, LVN, or corpsman/clinician.
