Communication
- Facilitate group discussions on reflective practice.
- Give feedback verbally and in writing on classroom practice.
- Engage in crucial conversations with teachers to impact practice.
- Facilitate data dialogues with classroom teams to improve practice and outcomes.
Coaching
- Coach all classroom teachers in the classroom.
- Create individual coaching plans for teachers.
- Engage education staff in individual and group reflective coaching.
- Review staff goals quarterly and provide feedback and guidance.
- Mentor and orient new teachers to classroom practices.
Administration
- Collaborate with site management team to ensure classroom ratios, licensing, funding, and educational requirements.
- Audit and ensure accurate and timely submission of required program documentation.
- Monitor and ensure daily attendance and meal participation reports are completed.
- Ensure confidentiality of all information.
- Assess strengths, challenges, and develop goals annually for infant toddler teaching staff.
- Conduct monthly classroom observations using the CLASS assessment tool.
- Attend and observe classroom team meetings monthly.
Child Development
- Ensure teachers observe, assess, and document each child’s health, skills, behavior, growth, and development.
- Support teachers in providing opportunities for children to develop positive self-images and experiences of success.
- Incorporate individualized educational activities into lesson plans for each child.
- Integrate new curriculum goals and objectives into lesson plans to meet children's age-appropriate physical, social, educational, and emotional needs.
Curriculum
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to integrate assessment results into curriculum and lesson planning.
- Coordinate and implement research-based interventions for academic and behavioral success.
- Order supplies, purchase classroom equipment/materials, and monitor budget usage to support curriculum plan.
- Plan and schedule field trips for classrooms.
Data & Assessments
- Administer screening or pre/post testing as needed to inform classroom practice.
- Analyze and aggregate data to provide staff with suggestions for site training and technical support.
- Enter weekly classroom data into the system in a timely manner.
- Complete quarterly data analysis in a timely manner.
- Compile information for TSG analysis of data to inform practices.
- Input classroom data into appropriate information systems.
Classroom Environment, Health & Safety
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by organizing classroom supplies, monitoring equipment, playrooms, playgrounds, and buses.
- Create requisitions for repairs and follow up on job completion.
- Establish research-based classroom interventions for academic and behavioral success.
- Create a secure environment that invites learning through exploration and discovery.
- Care for equipment and materials.
Parent Involvement
- Encourage and provide opportunities for parent participation in the program.
- Create home-school positive behavior plans with family support and parents.
- Document and coordinate staffings support, and continue adjustments of strategies for children with differing abilities and disabilities.
Professional Development
- Attend all teacher required meetings and trainings, including mentoring and coaching cohorts.
- Participate and contribute at teacher meetings, trainings, supervision, and weekly team meetings.
- Complete a minimum of 20 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually.
- Identify professional development opportunities and maintain professional development records.
Other Duties
- Track material utilization and recommend supplies, equipment, and supplies needed for the program.
- Provide classroom support and feedback.
