Instructional Paraprofessional, Preschool - Wright Elementary School

Minimum qualifications: six months of experience working with preschool-age students, a High School diploma or equivalent (GED or California High School Proficiency Examination), and twelve units of Child Development or Early Childhood Education core units.

Requirements

• Instructional Paraprofessional Proficiency Certificate
• One of the following:
  • Active Associate Teacher Child Development Permit or higher level permit
  • Child Development Associate Certification
  • Enrollment in a program leading to an associate or baccalaureate degree
  • Enrollment in a Child Development Associate credential program to be completed within two years of hire
• Proof of Influenza (flu), Pertussis (TDaP), and measles (MMR) immunizations (required upon hire)
• Submission of twelve units of Early Childhood Education core units or Associate Teacher Child Development Permit (all applicants)
• NCLB Compliance: Paraprofessional Proficiency Certificate and either a Child Development Teacher Permit (or higher) or Child Development Associate Certificate
