Instructional School Readiness Preschool Paraprofessional

3.25 hours per day (8:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.), Monday through Friday for 172 contract days per year (170 student contact & 2 inservice days). This position may be combined with another position in the district, but the combined positions may not exceed more than 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist student(s) with classroom needs (e.g., academic skills, behavior management, social skills, etc.)
• Supervise students in Early Childhood

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent, and additional post-secondary training relevant to education preferred
• Ability to implement instructions in a developmentally appropriate manner
• Communicate with staff, students, and parents
• Understand and implement behavior management techniques
• Interact and direct students in a positive manner
• Work independently and as a team
• Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
• Accept direction from supervising teacher(s) and work as a team

Pay

Salary based on the 2025-2027 School Support Employees Agreement Level V from $20.58 up to $22.91 per hour.
