Instructional Media Services Technician, Senior

About the role

The incumbent performs a variety of technical duties related to the distribution, operation, maintenance and repair of instructional media equipment including audio-visual media services, such as video and audio taping, editing and duplication.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains instructional media equipment, including projectors, microphones, cameras, and recording devices.
• Performs video and audio taping, editing, and duplication tasks.
• Maintains and repairs audio-visual equipment as needed.
• Assists instructors with the setup and operation of multimedia presentations.
• Collaborates with faculty to ensure the availability of necessary media resources.
• Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Two years of college-level training or equivalent with specialized coursework in instructional media (a.k.a. audio-visual communication) or related area.
• Increasingly responsible instructional media experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

• Proficiency in operating and maintaining audio-visual equipment.
• Knowledge of video and audio editing software.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

$23.96 - $29.96 hourly

Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
