About the role
The incumbent performs a variety of technical duties related to the distribution, operation, maintenance and repair of instructional media equipment including audio-visual media services, such as video and audio taping, editing and duplication.
Responsibilities
- Operates and maintains instructional media equipment, including projectors, microphones, cameras, and recording devices.
- Performs video and audio taping, editing, and duplication tasks.
- Maintains and repairs audio-visual equipment as needed.
- Assists instructors with the setup and operation of multimedia presentations.
- Collaborates with faculty to ensure the availability of necessary media resources.
- Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Two years of college-level training or equivalent with specialized coursework in instructional media (a.k.a. audio-visual communication) or related area.
- Increasingly responsible instructional media experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining audio-visual equipment.
- Knowledge of video and audio editing software.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
