Instructional Learning Senior

About the role

The University of Michigan School of Nursing (UMSN) Project Management Office (PMO) is seeking an experienced instructional design professional to join a collaborative, innovative, and service-focused team. In this role, you will partner with UMSN faculty to design, develop, and maintain engaging, accessible online and hybrid courses. You will manage multiple projects and requests throughout the academic year, create effective and accessible learning environments, and support the adoption of instructional solutions that enhance the student experience and improve learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with faculty and subject-matter experts to design, develop, and maintain online and hybrid courses using evidence-based instructional design and learning-science principles (75% of time).
• Create inclusive, accessible, learner-centered experiences that foster interaction, active learning, reflection, collaboration, and application to nursing practice.
• Align learning objectives, course content, activities, assessments, instructional materials, and technologies with school, program, and course outcomes.
• Recommend instructional strategies and technologies based on learning goals, learner needs, and available resources.
• Apply generative artificial intelligence (AI) appropriately and responsibly to course design, content development, assessments, rubrics, and other instructional
