Instructional Faculty - Bible

Role Summary

An Instructional Faculty member in the Bible Department at Valor Christian High School demonstrates strong competency across curricula and collaborates closely with the Bible team to design consistent assessments and deliver effective instruction. Through teaching the Bible, they inspire students to know Christ more deeply, live according to God's Word, and lead others with faith, wisdom, and integrity. Faculty demonstrate a vibrant personal faith, love students well, and cultivate respectful, engaging classrooms that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation. They also mentor students spiritually, emotionally, and academically through Life Groups, prayer partnerships, and co-curricular opportunities, partnering with parents and colleagues to support holistic student growth and achievement.

Results

The Instructional Faculty member in Bible will have successfully advanced students’ spiritual formation, college readiness, and cultural engagement by teaching Biblical truth with effective instruction. Students will have experienced God’s love through daily interactions and grow confident in His purpose for their lives. They will have developed strong understanding of the Bible and demonstrated college and life-ready competencies in communication, research, problem-solving, and discussion. The faculty member’s leadership will have fostered holistic student growth spiritually, academically, and personally within a Christ-centered learning environment.

Education, Experience, And Required Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline closely related to the subject(s) to be taught
• Advanced Degree in a Bible-related area is preferred
• Solid biblical and theological foundation and understanding
• Desire to teach and/or experience within Christian education
