About the role
The Ed Tech III - TCTC Academic Support & Progress Monitoring position at MSAD 41 provides instructional and organizational support to students in the regional Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. This role works under the supervision of certified staff to assist students in completing and understanding coursework in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Government/Civics, and other assigned subjects. The candidate will also provide academic supports during study periods and intervention blocks, monitor student progress, maintain records, communicate with teachers, counselors, and administrators, and help students develop essential skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist students in completing and understanding coursework in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Government/Civics, and other assigned subjects.
- Provide academic supports during study periods and intervention blocks.
- Maintain records of assignments, grades, and academic performance.
- Communicate concerns and successes with teachers, counselors, and administrators.
- Help students develop organization, time management, and self-advocacy skills necessary for success in both their CTE and academic programs.
Qualifications
- Ed Tech III authorization through Maine Department of Education required (or eligibility to obtain authorization).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Able to work effectively with middle and high school students.
- Proficiency with technology and student information systems.
- Experience supporting students with diverse academic needs preferred.
- A commitment to fostering positive student relationships and academic success.
Benefits
MSAD 41 is located in beautiful Piscataquis County, about 45 minutes to Bangor, and has a student population of approximately 600 students over four schools: Marion C Cook (PK), Milo Elementary School (K-2), Brownville Elementary School (3-4), and Penquis Valley Middle High School (5-12).
