About the role
The Education Technician supports the implementation of behavioral intervention plans and facilitates educational and behavioral services for individuals with special needs. They collaborate with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals.
Responsibilities
- Supports the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapeutic services under supervision of a BCBA or BCABA
- Facilitates educational and behavioral services for individuals with special needs
- Collaborates with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals
Requirements
- Education Technician certification
- Supervised by a client BCBA or BCABA
- One year relevant experience preferred
- Associates degree in behavioral studies or related field preferred
Qualifications
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of ABA principles and techniques
