Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct training needs assessments and identify performance or knowledge gaps.
- Design and develop instructor-led, virtual, e-learning, and blended training programs.
- Create course outlines, lesson plans, facilitator guides, participant materials, presentations, job aids, assessments, and other learning resources.
- Partner with subject-matter experts to gather, organize, and validate course content.
- Apply adult-learning principles and instructional design models, such as ADDIE, throughout the development process.
- Develop storyboards, scripts, simulations, exercises, and interactive learning activities.
- Create assessments and evaluation tools to measure knowledge retention, learner engagement, and training effectiveness.
- Review and update existing training materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with current policies and procedures.
- Manage multiple training projects while meeting established deadlines.
- Maintain organized records of course content, revisions, and approvals.
- Upload and manage training materials within the learning management system.
- Monitor course participation, completion, and evaluation results.
- Recommend improvements based on participant feedback and performance data.
- Ensure training materials meet Company branding, quality, and accessibility standards.
- Provide support to instructors and facilitators during the implementation of new training programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, training and development, communications, human resources, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Three or more years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, corporate training, or a related field.
- Knowledge of adult-learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Experience developing instructor-led, virtual, e-learning, and blended learning programs.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Ability to organize complex information into clear and engaging learning content.
- Strong project-management, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with subject-matter experts, employees, and leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
- Experience working with a learning management system.
- Experience creating videos, graphics, simulations, or interactive training content.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for digital learning.
- Experience developing technical, operational, safety, or compliance-related training.
- Professional certification in instructional design, training, or talent development.
- Military instructor experience, completion of an instructor training program, or Master Training Specialist certification is a plus.
