About the Role

As an Instructional Designer, you will apply principles of adult learning to design and develop educational products that address real-world challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Instructional Design: Apply principles of adult learning and instructional design processes (such as ADDIE) to create educational products, including face-to-face classroom, eLearning, blended designs, non-linear designs, self-development designs, multiple module course curricula, action learning, and media-based learning. Participate in needs analysis and collaborate with subject matter experts. Generate layouts for participant and facilitator guides, eLearning content, and blended learning solutions through storyboarding and authoring. Design content and associated metrics to optimize learning.
  • Collaboration: Partner with department members to develop training deliverables (e.g., written materials, eLearning, scripts). Collaborate with graphic design and video personnel to create high-quality media. Participate in project teams for initiatives like new technology, products, and special events.
  • Strategic Support: Test and iterate learning designs to align with learner needs. Review and test curriculum offerings, providing feedback. Contribute to new curriculum ideas. Assist with quality control, proofreading, and courseware distribution.
  • Internal Relationships: Cultivate internal relationships to support outreach and education programming. Coordinate with cross-functional team members.
  • Metrics: Partner with customers and subject matter experts to analyze and document educational outcomes and learning objectives, focusing on regenerative ranching principles.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a customer-service-focused approach in all interactions. Foster cooperative relationships with employees, contractors, visitors, and guests.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing educational materials; experience with agricultural education preferred.

Pay

Pay Rate Range: $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
