About the role

As a key member of the Talent Management Training team, the Instructional Designer will support the training and educational needs of the organization by designing, developing and implementing appropriate learning solutions to fill performance gaps and support new initiatives for project management, safety, and leadership development.

What You’ll Do

  • Design high-quality programs, content and materials that support the company’s business goals and objectives.
  • Support the end to end learning experience: assess needs, devise instructional strategies, incorporate course-related learning activities, develop multimedia e-learning experiences and create assessments and on-the-job assignments that measure success and the transfer of learning.
  • Support development of training programs, content, and materials on various topics including:
    • Project Management processes and best practices
    • Crew leader skills
    • Technical topics
    • Safety topics
    • Agile tools
    • Technology systems
    • Leadership skills
  • Develop working relationships with internal clients, field users and subject matter experts, and communicate regularly with internal clients.
  • Collaborate with internal clients and stakeholders at all levels of the organization to identify and assess training needs in alignment with the business strategy.
  • Coordinate implementation strategies for each learning solution.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Education or another related field.
  • 3 years of experience developing learning for instructor led, virtual instructor led, self-paced eLearning and video formats.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of adult learning styles and instructional design.
  • Intermediate experience with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Rise, Lectora, iSpring, or similar) and graphic/visual design tools (Canva, Camtasia, etc).
  • Graphic design aptitude.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with business/organizational leaders to translate business objectives into effective learning solutions and development programs.
  • Experience working with learning management systems.
  • Excels at time management and prioritization, consistently meeting deadlines while generating high-quality work.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

What We Offer

The annual base pay for this role is between $80,000 - $100,000. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for a bonus.
