About the role
The Instructional Design Assistant is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of educational materials and programs. They work closely with faculty members to understand course objectives and design engaging learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and updating of instructional materials, including presentations, handouts, and assessments.
- Collaborate with faculty to develop new courses and improve existing ones.
- Conduct research on best practices in instructional design and technology integration.
- Support the evaluation and revision of instructional materials based on feedback from students and faculty.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in instructional design or related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in educational technology and its impact on learning outcomes.
- Passion for creating effective and engaging learning experiences.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and theories.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS).
- Basic understanding of accessibility standards.
