Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborates with school leadership teams to identify instructional priorities and areas for teacher support.
- Models effective instructional strategies in classrooms, with a focus on literacy and/or math.
- Provides one-on-one and small-group coaching to teachers to strengthen instructional practices.
- Facilitates professional development sessions and workshops.
- Analyzes student data to inform instructional planning and decision-making.
- Supports teachers in implementing differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs.
- Coaches and supports teachers in providing differentiated instruction for multilingual learners and special education students within the general education setting.
- Uses school improvement goals to develop professional learning plans and monitor progress toward goals.
Requirements
- Possess or qualify for the immediate issuance of a valid Washington State teaching certificate with an elementary ed (K-8) endorsement.
- Has a minimum of three years K-5 teaching experience required.
- Experience with a variety of assessment tools.
Education & Experience
- Bilingual preferred.
- MLL endorsement preferred.
- Experience in instructional coaching or teacher leadership.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based literacy and math instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with data-driven instruction and professional learning communities (PLCs).

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when needed.
- Ability to reflect on own professional practice and make adaptations to improve instruction.
- Ability to perform all duties in accordance with all applicable Board policies and district and legal requirements.
- Experience in instructional coaching or teacher leadership.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based literacy and math instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with data-driven instruction and professional learning communities (PLCs).
Physical Requirements
- Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
- This position may be exposed to prolonged exposure to visual display terminals as required.
- Moderate Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
Pay & Benefits
$73,900 to $138,754 annual salary prorated based on actual FTE (based on the negotiated collective bargaining agreement salary schedule).
