Instructional Assistant - Part-Time - Table Rock Elementary

About the role

The Instructional Assistant works closely with classroom teachers and reading/math interventionists to deliver small-group instruction, one-on-one support, and targeted academic interventions in reading and math. This role involves following lesson plans, tracking student progress, assisting in the development of instructional materials, and creating a positive and structured learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young learners and wants to help close achievement gaps through personalized, engaging instruction. You'll be a key part of the student success team at Table Rock Elementary.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small-group instruction, one-on-one support, and targeted academic interventions in reading and math.
• Follow lesson plans provided by licensed teaching staff.
• Track student progress and assist in the development of instructional materials.
• Create a positive and structured learning environment.
• Support the academic goals of the school and help close achievement gaps through personalized, engaging instruction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet one of the following: two years of postsecondary education, an associate's degree or higher, or a passing score on the district's reading, writing, and math assessment.
• Valid Oregon driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in an educational setting is helpful but not required.
• Bilingual in Spanish is encouraged.
• CPR/First Aid certification is encouraged.

Pay

$17.54 per hour.

Schedule

Part‑time position (3.75 hours per day) for 174 contract days.
