Instructional Assistant - Full Time (Basic Support), 7 hrs/day for Table Rock Elementary

About the role

Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a caring, dependable Basic Support Instructional Assistant to provide essential academic and behavioral support at Table Rock Elementary. This role plays a key part in helping students succeed by supporting classroom instruction, reinforcing routines, and assisting teachers in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with small-group instruction
• Support individual students
• Reinforce positive behavior strategies
• Provide classroom supervision throughout the school day

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of postsecondary education, an associate's degree or higher, or a passing score on the district's reading, writing, and math assessment
• A valid Oregon driver's license and reliable transportation
• CPR/First Aid certification (encouraged)

Qualifications

• Dependable, patient, and able to follow the teacher's direction to support students' academic and behavioral needs
• Prior experience working with children in a school or youth setting is preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills
• Flexibility
• A willingness to grow within a school team

Benefits

• 182 days per year / 7 hours per day
• Salary range: $17.20-$24.45 per hour, depending upon verified previous full-time experience in a similar position

• Contract days: 182 days per year / 7 hours per day

• Salary listed indicates current 2023-2026 Collective Bargaining Agreement - subject to change
