About the Role
The Instructional Assistant will assist licensed staff with instructional and supportive tasks, provide one-on-one and small group tutoring, and supervise students during class time, lunch, and recess. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing instructional materials
- Maintaining records and grading assignments
- Supporting the use of classroom technology
- Contributing positively to staff meetings
- Demonstrating professional behavior and respecting student confidentiality
- Adapting to the changing needs of students and teachers

Responsibilities
- Assist licensed staff with instructional and supportive tasks
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring
- Supervise students during class time, lunch, and recess
- Prepare instructional materials and maintain records
- Grade assignments and support classroom technology use
- Participate in staff meetings and uphold professional behavior
- Maintain student confidentiality and adapt to evolving needs

- Postsecondary coursework

Prior experience supporting student needs is preferred. Bilingual applicants in Spanish are encouraged to apply.

Pay
Salary range: $17.20-$24.45 per hour, depending on verified previous full-time experience in a similar position. Salary is based on the current 2023-2026 Collective Bargaining Agreement and is subject to change.
Schedule
182 contract days per year, 7 hours per day. Position begins September 8, 2026.
