Qualifications

Instructional Assistant I / II / III qualifications include:

• Previous experience working with groups of children.
• Instructional Assistant II's: Working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs.
• Instructional Assistant III's: Support for severe/emotionally disturbed students.

Requirements

Required documents for non-title sites include:

• A passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (testing date must be April 2005 to current).
• An official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).

Required documents for title I sites include:

• A passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (testing date must be April 2005 to current).
• An official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
• OFFICIAL transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units).
• Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher).
