About the Role
The Lawndale Elementary School District has an opening for an Instructional Assistant - Health Care. This position accumulates one paid vacation and sick day per month of employment. In addition, LESD provides a $1,000 per year career enrichment program for employees.
Responsibilities
- Support health care needs of students in an educational setting.
- Assist with the implementation of health care plans as directed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED) required.
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certificates required.
- 48 Units or an Associate Degree (or greater) from an accredited college/university is preferred.
- Some experience working with school-age children in an organized setting is desirable.
- Resume required.
- All applicants must take and pass a two-part scantron exam (one-hour IA test and a 45-minute Health Care test) with a score of 70% or better.
Schedule
- 28.5 hours per week.
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM.
- Thursday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM.
- 10-month work year (school year).
- Schedule and site are subject to change.
Pay
Pay Range: $22.05 - $28.11 per hour.
