Instructional Assistant

About the role

This position assists students with remedial work, independent studies, specialized areas of need and/or enrichment programs in an Autistic Support and/or Emotional Support setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with remedial work
• Support independent studies
• Provide assistance in specialized areas of need
• Engage in enrichment programs

Requirements

• Must meet the Paraprofessional Highly Qualified Requirements
• Associate's degree or higher, or 48 credits post-secondary training
• Pass a rigorous local assessment in reading, writing and mathematics

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special needs preferred but not required

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Patience and understanding

Hourly Rate: $20.50/hour

8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
