About the role
Under the supervision of the site administrator and the direction of a certificated staff member, you will assist in planning and implementing a program for the regular and special needs of children in the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics
- Work effectively with children in an instructional environment
Requirements
- Associate’s degree, two years of study at an institute of higher learning, or have met the formal academic assessment required by the No Child Left Behind Act
- CPR training
- Experience or education in child development
- Background that demonstrates interest in working with school-age children
Pay
Range 8: $17.33 – $21.64 per hour (10-step scale) plus an additional $0.32 per hour in lieu of benefits.
Other notes
The selected applicant will be required to complete a pre-placement medical assessment, TB clearance, and fingerprint clearance before beginning employment.
