Summary

The incumbent provides word processing and clerical support to Superior Court judges, commissioners, and administrative staff using computer equipment.

Job Duties

  • Perform detailed work using computer programs, requiring multiple tasks, with speed and accuracy under strict timelines.
  • Determine validity, correctness, and completeness of information to be entered into computer programs, and make necessary changes.
  • Maintain a log or file system to control information and facilitate entry and retrieval.
  • Support others by handling excess workload of similar type within or outside the work unit as needed or assigned.
  • Provide general administrative support including but not limited to answering and/or routing phone and e-mail messages; assist with meeting and miscellaneous activity preparation; complete and process paperwork.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature and level.

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

  • A high school diploma or GED plus one year of experience in word processing, office procedures and processes.
  • A minimum typing speed of 50 wpm is required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of various computer software applications, including word processing and database management.
  • Prior training, experience and skill in producing documents that may require charts, graphs, and the manipulation of graphics.
  • Prioritize workload and proofread content of work product.
  • Strong communication and customer skills required.
