Institutional Giving & Special Campaigns Assistant

Responsibilities

• Aid in timely and accurate data entry and administrative tasks in Salesforce database
• Support recordkeeping, including filing award letters and check copies
• Prepare timely acknowledgment letters for received gifts
• Schedule internal meetings as needed
• Assist with grant proposal and report preparation, including photo selections, testimonials, standard financial documents, donor lists, and other common attachments
• Support fundraising events, such as set-up and guest check-in
• Conduct and prepare research on prospective sources of institutional, individual, and corporate funding
• Track correspondence and progress with institutions and individuals
• Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years of development or fundraising background preferred (academic or past internship experience)
• Ability to work independently and remotely, using a personal computer equipped with wifi, camera, and microphone for video conference calls
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience in writing, editing, and research
• Proven ability to prioritize and work effectively under deadlines
• Strong CRM skills and knowledge of Google Drive applications preferred
